The exhibition begins at the entrance to two pavilions adjacent to the historic park grounds. Each area of the exhibition is dedicated to a different aspect of rural life. The introductory section explains the motives for the creation of the museum as well as an overview of the visitor experience.
The cylinder outside the front door lists the names and hometowns of hundreds of peasant farmers whose donations, through the association Gruppo della Stadura, helped to establish the museum.
